What to Expect at Your Initial Consultation with our Cambridge Bankruptcy Trustee
At Hoyes, Michalos & Associates Inc. we pride ourselves on personal service. At our Cambridge office most appointments are conducted by me, Douglas Hoyes, the trustee responsible for our Cambridge office. My associate, Susan Jung, MBA, also sees clients in Cambridge one day per week. The purpose of our initial meeting is to assess your situation, and develop an action plan to deal with your money problems (that's why our phone number is 310-PLAN).
I will want to know who you owe money to, what you own, and what you earn and spend each month. The more information you can bring to the meeting the better, because with complete information we can start working on the plan at our first meeting. We will discuss debt consolidation, credit counselling, consumer proposals, and personal bankruptcy.
I will give you the opportunity to ask lots of questions, so feel free to make a list of your questions before the meeting, so I can give you all of the information you need.
Once your questions are answered I give you a copy of our information package with some brochures you can read; you can then go home and read through the material, and decide on your next step.
I won't pressure you into making a decision. My job as a trustee is to explain all of your options. You can then decide which option is best for you, at your own pace.
Feel free to e-mail a question or give our Cambridge office a call at 622-3773 or 310-PLAN to arrange your no-charge initial private consultation.
